In the book of Mark, a woman pours expensive perfume on Jesus’ head and is criticized for it, since some thought it would have been of better use to sell and she give the proceeds to the poor. Jesus rebukes them, though, telling them that she has done good, preparing His body for burial. This story makes me think about the trust we need to have in God’s plan. She broke the alabaster flask to free up the perfume.
Sometimes something in our life has to break for God’s purposes to take place. For the rest of His greater plan for your life to proceed.
I am keeping this lesson close to my heart today, saving it for the supposed low-lites ahead, to remind myself that they are actually turning points.
